About the Event

Get ready to be part of something truly powerful.

The Walk for Awareness is more than just a walk — it’s a movement. A movement where thousands come together to celebrate life, come together as a team, and shine a light on mental health. Whether you're walking virtually through your own neighbourhood/gym or joining the electric atmosphere at Captain Burke Park in Brisbane, you're making a real difference.

Brisbane: We kick things off with an inspiring, electrifying opening ceremony where we jump, dance and honour those we've lost to depression and mental illness, while standing in solidarity with those still fighting. After a quick warm-up and stretch, we hit the ground walking — a 9km journey filled with energy, purpose, and community spirit.

Two ways to join our national walk. One powerful cause.

  • Join the national walk: Walk virtually, wherever you are — solo, with friends, or family, your community from your gym or workplace. It’s your walk, your way.

OR

  • Join us in person  - Register to attend the Opening Ceremony in Brisbane at Captain Burke Park with thousands of others for an unforgettable experience along the Brisbane River.

Together, we’re creating a safe, welcoming space were talking about mental health isn’t taboo — it’s celebrated. Let’s walk side by side, showing the world that hope, support, and BETTER MENTAL HEALTH is just ONE STEP AT A TIME.
